What a sweet little girl! Beth loves to play with the other kittens, but also doesn’t mind leaving the group to rest. She doesn’t mind being picked up and loves to sleep in elevated areas. She has been spotted snuggling with Palmer who has seemed to have taken a shining to this little kitty. Beth would definitely get along well in a house with another cat.

Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
My sister Maggie and I are 8.5 years old and were surrendered to the Humane Society on April 13th when our Mom passed away and there was nobody else to take care of us. We are indoor kitties and have lived all our life with our Mom so it's been very hard on us to be taken from the only place we knew and to be here in this unfamiliar environment. Maggie is a bit of a shy girl and this has been particularly hard on her. I am a more outgoing girl and am happy to have people pay attention to me. I'll be doing my best to meet and greet our visitors so we can find a great family to fall in love with us and take us home. I promised Maggie we wouldn't be here long and I don't want to break my promise.. We are both lovable seniors who get along great with kids. We are looking for a kind caring family to take both of us to our forever together home. A special 2 for 1 adoption fee applies if we are adopted together but we can be adopted separately at an adoption fee of $80.00 each.

What an affectionate little kitty! He loves to sleep in the cubby of the cat condo, but is the first one running when you make the kitty call. He loves to be pet and will give loads of head butts and will roll over and over until you stop petting him. He is a great kitten who seems to love cuddling and his own space. Best of both worlds with this amazing fella.

Sex:

DOB:
6 years
Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
Linda reports:Sasha is a sweetheart, she is very affectionate and loving. She enjoys a good run in the pen. Sasha heels very nicely, so is a joy to take for a walk. She has started her obedience training and is improving a little with her commands. With more lessons she will be very proficient. Sasha is an attractive, dainty girl who I think will learn quickly. She is very smart and eager to please. Sasha is such a lady, very gentle staying by our side for a long walk, leash always loose. When we were in the pen we took Sasha off the leash and she followed us around staying close. Sasha also came to us everytime we called her. Sasha is very affectionate and would make an excellent loyal companion. Renee adds:Sweet & lovable Sasha is a nervous girl at times but she's just waiting for the right person to come along and help her become balanced. After sitting outside with her for no more then 5 minutes I realized very quickly how sweet she really is. She would lie down and soak up a good massage...her reward for being calm and obedient. Exercise, training, socializing, and being committed to working everyday will build confidence and trust between you and Sasha and teach her the balance she truly needs. This will only ensure a successful adoption as well as a life long friendship!

Breed:
Shepher/Doberman mix
Colour:

Sex:

DOB:
2006
Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
According to Alisha and Deanna:Penguin was an absolute treat to walk, he focused on us every turn we made, leash always loose. Penguin stayed close to us even when loose in the dog pen. Penguin listened immediately to all the commands. Sit, lay down and even held stay position for 20 seconds. Penguin enjoyed a good brushing. He also didn't mind or pay attention when other dogs were near. Penguin was a delight to spend time with and would make a great addition to any family. Linda adds:Penguin is so calm and so easy to work with. He knows all his commands and heels so nicely. He has a wonderful personality, is very loving and affectionate too!!! Penguin would be a great addition to the lucky family who adopts him!!! On Aug 5 Deanna and Alisha add:Penguin is a very intelligent dog. He performs all his obedience tasks even without treats. Penguin is young at heart and loves to run after toys in the pen and bring them back to you. Penguin will follow us around the pen staying close by all the while off the leash. On Aug 7 Penguin accompanied Linda and Dan for a day camp visit at FJ Rutland's Daycamp. The kids got to pet Penguin and ask questions of NFHS represenatives. Penguin was a real sweetheart allowing for the children to each get a chance to pet him. He loved the car ride to the school and was such a good boy in the classroom. He was incredibly patient and relaxed with a classroom of eager little faces looking at him. If you'd like to meet Penguin, please stop by and visit the NFHS today.
