Floyd

Type:
cat
Breed:
domestic short hair
Colour:
tabby/white
Sex:
male neutered
DOB:
6 yrs +
Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
Hello my friends... My name is Floyd and I am great senior looking for my forever home. I came into the shelter as a stray and because of my background I'm having a bit of a difficult time adjusting to all the other kitties and visitors here. When I get scared I've been known to hiss at and swat some of our visitors. I am declawed so it doesn't hurt but I still need to learn to trust and get along with both our visitors and the other kitties. This communal living is hard on me and the volunteers have said I seem to be getting a bit crankier the longer I stay here. That’s not a good thing when you are waiting to be adopted. I really, really need to find my forever home soon. I'm a talkative guy who just wants to be loved and I'm sure with kindness and patience I will become a wonderful addition to a nice quiet home. If you would like to get to know me please let one of the volunteers know and they can help you with that. I'm looking forward to meeting you... A special adoption fee of $80 applies for Floyd.

dog
Breed:
Beagle
Colour:
Tri
Sex:
male neutered
DOB:
Sept. 22, 2011
Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
Renee notes:Tyson is a beagle on a mission...he would be a great tracker because he loves to use his nose! I saw him once and he was doing a whole lotta pulling! So I switched it up to a gentle leader and before you know it he was walking with a loose leash along with the encouragement of being offered a tasty treat when he kept the leash nice and loose. Tyson requires an adult home.

tan and black
Sex:

Sadie has been through a lot in her short life including losing her left eye due to an accident. This does not slow her down, or hinder her at all and as strange as it might seem, it isn't all that noticeable. Sadie will thrive in a forever home where she is the only dog. She does not have any issues with cats, in fact she becomes friends with them. Sadie exhibits no food or toy aggression. She loves to go for walks, the longer the better!! Sadie is a love bug. She loves to snuggle and is finally giving out kisses. Although she is crate trained she much prefers curling up on the couch and of course, the bed!

She never once attempted to jump up on us and didn't appear timid at all with us she was very friendly. On Aug 5 Deanna and Alisha report:Echo did fabulous on her obedience training today. She responded great to all the commands, sit, down and stay. Holding stay position for 30 seconds. Echo even listened great off leash in the pen. Echo came when called, followed us around the pen and performed sit and down while off leash. Kale

Type:
dog
Breed:
lab/mastiff
Colour:
brindle and white
Sex:
male neutered
DOB:
3 years
Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
Linda reports:Kale is a lovely dog to spend time with, he seems very calm and easy to handle. He liked lounging in the grass just taking life easy. Kale has a unique coat and loved being patted. He sat for me and focused on me too. He will be a joy to work with, he has a lot of potential. Kale is a very unique boy! He is a little bit on the timid side, but comes around quite quickly if you will cuddle him up. He wants nothing more then to just be around people. Kale also likes to eat outside. The second you put his bowl of food down for him, he will grab the edge of the bowl with his mouth and bring it outside. It is quite cute to see! It also seems like Kale will need some guidance in the potty training department. Denise spent some time with Kale and observes: When I first took Kale from his run he just pulled so I took him out to the enclosure to run off some steam. While there he was introduced to another dog. He showed no aggression at all. But did show a bit of interest that he wanted to play. When I went back inside I did his temperment testing, he has no aggressions at all. I sat on the floor he came right over to me excited and got a belly rub. He is a very gentle giant, once he has the chance to run off some steam. He likes to have a body rub and be touching you when he is getting his loves and pats. Kale could use some more obedience training and with that said he will make a wonderful addition to his forever family.
Anderson
Adopted: Aug-22-12

Anderson

Type:
dog
Breed:
chihuahua
Colour:
blond
Sex:
male neutered
DOB:
Aug 2011
Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
Anderson came to the shelter as a stray. He is very friendly. Denise spent some time with this little guy and observes:Had the chance to spend a bit of time with Anderson after his temperament testing. He seemed a bit unsure of his new surroundings. I sat on the floor and let him come to me. He crawled up onto my lap and made himself at home. He got very excited and was licking my hands, arms and face. He likes a good old belly rub and rub behind his ears. He did show interest in a squeeky toy. I threw it and he did bring it back. He has no agression at all and would make a wonderful addition to a family.
