Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
I was found as stray and brought to the shelter a few months ago. I've just recently become available for adoption because I had a bit of a dodgy tummy and it's taken a bit of time to determine which diet is best for me. I heard Tessa say that I'm her baby and I know she loves me very much and will help me to get adopted. I'm a big lovable senior patiently waiting for the perfect family fall in love and to take me to my forever home.

Dante

Type:
dog
Breed:
Lab mix
Colour:
Black
Sex:
male neutered
DOB:
Oct. 1/2010
Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
Dante is a high energy boy and is good with kids. He's a bit of a barker and not housebroken and will require some patience and training. He's a very strong boy as well. Linda observes:Dante is very strong, but was coming along very nicely with his heeling today. He sit, downs and really focuses on me too. Dante has an endearing personality, a typical fun loving lab. I wet him down with the hose today as it was so hot and he thoroughly enjoyed it. With more lessons Dante will become more proficient with his obedience lessons. He is eager to learn and a very willing student too!!! Linda took Dante to an adoptathon recently and observes:He was content to lay down in the back of my Blazer both ways. Dante was a big hit with many of the people who stopped to see him. He showed affection to everyone he met. Dante did bark at the other dogs barking at him, but he showed no aggression. I don't think his tail stopped wagging the whole time we were there.

Hi friends, My name is Roane and I've been elected to speak for my brother Rowan and my lovely sisters Rhonda and Rosalie. We are 5 month old babies looking for our forever homes. My brother Rowan I are the outgoing ones of the bunch. We both love to socialize with our visitors and get our share of pets from them. I am a cuddly guy and love to nestle in with some of our other kitty roommates. Rowan is very friendly but sometimes likes time on his own. Our sisters, Rosalie and Rhonda are a bit shy and like to keep to themselves but are slowly coming around. I keep telling them that it's lots of fun to come out and play with our visitors and they are starting to believe me! If you would like to meet us just let one of the volunteers know and that can be arranged.

Shonna

Type:
dog
Breed:
beagle
Colour:

Sex:
female spayed
DOB:
Nov 11, 2001
Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
Shonna is a doll, she's a staff favourite bigtime! She came from a puppymill situation, and it's so amazing how sweet natured and affectionate she is. She loves to cuddle and just adores attention. What a cutie. Ideally Shonna needs a forever home with people who are home a lot, because she's not a loner, she prefers to be around her loved ones. She is quite overweight, so she needs lots of exercise, she could be a good workout buddy! Linda took Shonna to an adoptathon event recently and noted:Quite a few people made a big fuss over her, especially the little girls who just fawned over her. Shonna is one sweet, loveable dog. She has such a gentle nature and was so calm even with all the dogs barking. She was good in my Blazer too, she laid down in the back and didn't interfere with my driving.

Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
My sister Casey and I were surrendered to the Humane Society because our family was moving and could not take us with them. We lived with our family since we were kittens and slept in bed with them each night so this new environment is very scary for both of us. Our family said we are “sweet, affectionate well adjusted” kitties. In our home we were know as the “Dynamic Duo” and although we did try to boss around our kitty siblings, we are extremely gentle and loving towards humans. I will even let you know when I want to be pet by tapping you gently on the hand with my paw. Casey loves to drink water from the tap. As soon as she hears you filling the water bowl she'll be up there to get a drink of fresh water. We both have great fun playing with toy mice and chasing each other and our toys around the house. We have always been indoor girls who love to lay by a window to watch the birds when we want to rest. We are best buddies and really do not want to be separated so are looking for a kind loving family to take both of us to our forever together home. If you would like to meet us just ask one of the volunteers and they will help you with that. A two for one adoption fee applies if Betty and Casey are adopted together.

Adoption Status: Adopted Description:
Hi friends, My name is Chex and I'm a timid senior looking for my forever home. I was found as stray and brought to the shelter by a kind human, and boy was I happy to be rescued from the street. I have been declawed so I did have a home at one time in my life. I don't know what happened there but I found myself living and trying to survive on the streets. It's pretty rough out there and was especially scarey for me because I have no way to defend myself when other kitties wanted to bother me. I just arrived here on Sept 11th and don't know what to make of so many other kitties and people so I'm a bit scared and trying to figure out what this is all about. One of the volunteers said I am very sweet and am sure that's how I will be in my forever, ever home. I'm a big lovable senior patiently waiting for the perfect family fall in love and give me the care I deserve. If you would like to meet me just let one of the volunteers know and they will be glad to help with that.
